Signaling the end of Minnesota’s dog days of summer, City Pages Minneapolis is hosting their second annual dog-friendly event, Hounds and Hops, on Saturday, September 22 in the Minneapolis North Loop neighborhood. We love that a portion of the proceeds will benefit Secondhand Hounds.
We had such a blast hosting and emceeing the DLR dog and human fashion show last year, we’re doing it again. We are recruiting some of our friends to walk the runway and rock our dog and human apparel, including Murrow the Frenchie, Leo the Lionpup, Gus Gus In The City, Waffles Vonfurryface, 3 of a Kind Plus 1, Dood Named Nelson and more! To pay proper homage to human’s best friend, bring your (well behaved, leashed) pup and grab a local brew from 612BREW to enjoy an afternoon full of tail wags and wet kisses. Experience treats from dog friendly vendors, mouth-watering food trucks (for two-and four-legged friends alike!) and a chance to meet local Instagram famous dogs including PointerProblems, Endeavors of Ego, Christopher Cline, Gus Gus In The City, Holly and Juneau & more!
